Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Newport Beach Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you send a message, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting providers may retain ordinary server-log fields such as an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. Those signals can be reviewed in aggregate for site health and general readership. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, if present, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use available information to operate the reference, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or assemble individual user profiles.
External Portals and Links
Pages link to Orange County and California portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Once you leave Newport Beach Residents Directory, the outside service's privacy policy governs what you submit. The same applies to sponsored results supplied by another company.
Who May Receive It
Hosting and support providers may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above where those tools operate. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not intentionally shared.
Security Measures
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no Newport Beach Residents Directory accounts, the service does not hold a visitor password or user profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, use the Contact page so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Your California Privacy Rights
Depending on the facts and coverage rules, California's Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, provide rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. Newport Beach Residents Directory keeps very little. To ask for access, correction, or deletion of information in its mailbox or logs, use the Contact page. Public records held by California, Orange County, or Newport Beach offices are outside this service's control; requests about those records go to the custodian under the California Public Records Act.
